Los whiskies usados para este último Macallan de la serie de 1824 maduraron en barriles de jerez. El Macallan M se entrega en una jarra de cristal fino creada por el renombrado diseñador de moda y lujo Fabien Baron y producida por el fabricante de vidrio Lalique. 50 horas de trabajo y 17 artistas participantes fueron necesarias para producir esta hermosa botella. Además, se incluye un fino tapón de cristal. Este Macallan incluso consiguió una entrada en el Libro Guinness de los Records como "el whisky más caro jamás vendido". Una de las cuatro botellas de 6 litros actualmente disponibles se subastó en Asia el 18 de enero de 2014 por el equivalente a 463.000,00 euros. Sólo se llenaron 1.750 botellas desde el primer lanzamiento, cada una, por supuesto, numerada individualmente.
