The Blackmagic Design SmartView Duo features two large independent 8" LCD screens in a compact rack mountable body, and can handle SD, HD and 3Gb/s SDI video standards. SmartView Duo is suitable ideal for post production, broadcast and monitoring of live events. For easy commissioning, all screens can be adjusted by remote control via network connection.

Higher SDI compatibility - SmartView supports SD, HD and 3G-SDI (2K) formats
SmartView is designed for use in broadcast and post production, supporting multiple SDI video standards including SD, HD and 3G-SDI formats. SmartView supports new current video standards used in post-production. This includes progressive 1080 HD transfer rates and even 2K over 3G-SDI. All video formats can be connected and changed at any time as SmartView automatically switches to the new format in less than a second.

Easy matching
SmartView connects via Ethernet and all monitors can be adjusted centrally from one location, making monitor matching effortless. You can even make changes from a laptop using the SmartView software tool for Mac OS X and Windows, and copy settings from one monitor to another. Software updates for new video formats and waveform displays can be easily added via USB.

Compact rack design - Extremely slim design with only 25mm installation depth
SmartView monitoring was designed without buttons and switches to avoid clutter on the front panel, which can be distracting when monitoring. SmartView monitors are super slim and only 25mm deep! This means that when setting up a camera monitor wall you only need a few centimeters of shelf depth, saving space inside OB trucks and other tight situations. In addition, SmartView features a particularly lightweight aluminum design that is ideal for installation in mobile racks and flyaway kits as it can be easily lifted.

LCD screens and RGB -Tally
SmartView and SmartScope monitors feature super-clear LCD displays with tally, providing the ideal solution for live broadcasting. As opposed to a simple tally display, SmartView provides tally borders in green, red or blue to distinguish between "preview", "on air" or "recording". So during live production you always know when you are recording or on air, or you can see which camera is next switched to the preview output of your mixer. The tally connects to the rear using an industry-standard parallel pin connector for compatibility with mixing consoles and automation systems.

Reversible Design - Optimize Viewing Angle
SmartView monitors have automatic screen orientation: the LCDs can be easily adjusted for the optimal viewing angle. The SmartView monitor automatically detects the angle of rotation of the screen and rotates the image into the correct orientation. You can even remove the front bezel and rotate it 180 degrees if you want.

Connect decks and Servers
SmartView is ideal for use with broadcast decks or video servers. Simply rack mount SmartView and connect via SDI to view what the deck or server is playing or recording.

Connect routers
The best way to monitor every device around you is to connect a SmartView HD and a SmartScope Duo 4K to one of your router outputs. Then switch different sources to the monitors to view each source you select.
